Double knit poly wasn't hard to sew on, some had a little more stretch than others, but my gosh, I made lots and lots of clothing from it and stretching never was any problem. I even made a full length robe out of it , black top and patch work skirt. It was cute! Later cut off the skirt and made a play pad for my GS. That stuff washed up great and the colors stayed bright. I also used the poly called Quiana( SP? )It was thin and slippery, but it sure draped pretty in dresses. That I wouldn't use in a quilt!

My friend that got this for me told me I should make lap quilts out of it for the nursing homes and just give it to them. I might start there and see how it goes. But there are some realy neat stuff here and I will have fun trying to find something to do with it.

Wow, looks like you really got a wonderful assortment! I just love that yellow daisy fabric.

I see many, many quilts in your future. If you do have polyester double knit in that haul, it makes great stuff sacks for sleeping bags/pillows and camp or college laundry bags. They can be stuffed full, dragged down carpeted hallways and across parking lots week after week and take the abuse. I use my biggest pot lid to trace a bottom piece and then use the full width of the knit (usually 60" ) for the sides. Add a draw string around the top and you're all set. Happy stitching for many days or maybe months!
