I am in the process of making Quilts for all my family as a keepsake from me. So one more done and lots more to make . I call it my Bucket List . It means a lot to me to be able to Make a Quilt for all my family. Just something that I feel is my calling to do . Each pattern or design will be different. This one is a Lap for my Mom and sorry it is not hanging straight . I only have space to hang it over my Patio Door Curtains . I dont have a design wall in Sweing Room . I hope she likes the Blue Lap Quilt as she picked Blue as a color but not seen the pattern i did . A Birthday and Christmas quilt . All ready to go to the LAQ. now .

I'm not a blue person but I do really like this quilt. It's very serene looking. I'm sure she'll love it.

Pretty! I'm also in a "make quilts for everyone" phase as opposed to a "creative masterpiece" phase. They don't have to be complex, artistic wonders, just made by us with love. :D

I love it, very pretty and good for you making a quilt for each family member. I want to do the same...

What a beautiful quilt. The blues are vibrant and elegant. You did a wonderful job and this will be a treasured gift for sure. Look forward to seeing your other family quilts. That is quite an undertaking and a wonderful thing to do. Thank you for sharing.

I like this very much. The fabrics are beautiful and so serene. I'm working on quilts for the family too. I have three sisters, one son and three grand kids left to do. Then...I can make one for myself ;)

The Tan and blue and white material with the flowers and butterflies on it that i used so it looks like a panel - i had purchased by the meter and it is called Fabric Freedom and then London ,England . Hopes that helps .

quilt gramma 10-17-2011 10:50 PM

katesnanna 10-17-2011 11:19 PM

That's beautiful. Love the panel piece.

carolaug 10-18-2011 03:57 PM

Just do it..you will not hurt your quilt on the 7700...I love FMQ'ing on it...if you happen to make and error...only you will know...and if the tension is messed up you can very easily take the stitches out. I started free motion Quilting after only sewing for a few months. I knew nothing...this board has helped me along. So glad I do not have to pay someone to quilt my quilts for me. The fabic costs enough as it is...

debcavan 10-18-2011 04:01 PM
