This will probably be my last 10 minute quilt block quilt :) I just don't know about how I like the center block being raised up - how this will handle daily use wear concerns me a bit. But I tried something new and I learned somethings.

This one will be sent back to Germany with my cousin next week - once I get it quilted. I am just so glad that I got the top done :)

I like it just fine. It will be awesome when it is quilted, just wait and see. Then show us again. I really like it.

I think it's adorable! I never heard of a 10 minute block but would guarantee it would take me longer hahaha

most like doing this method because it allows you to fold back the fold of the fabric and stitch it down. makes it look like a more difficult block with curves. you could still do that if you were worried about it.

Looks great. Why is it going to Germany?

I've never seen this block before. Thanks for the post & showing us what you did. I would love to see a picture after it's quilted.

Here's a site on the 10 minute block. I like how she figured out how to take the "bulk" out of the center. She also shows some variations for the block.

Looks very nice and when you get it quilted I am sure you like it even more.

osewme - I watched that same video :) and I did cut the bulk away

Thanks everyone for your kind words

I made 2 others before this and I did curve back the edges - which I liked. But this is flannel and I was concerned about the extra bulk. I just straight stitched these edges down hopefully it will be fine

The quilt is going to Germany as a gift. My dad was born in Germany and came to America in 1952. Some of his family are visiting this summer. This quilt will be a gift to my cousin's 10 year old granddaughter for a keep sake. I had this quilt label made to put on the quilt.

Crazy its 100 degrees and I am giving her a quilt ha ha ha ha
