here are a few things that i have completed. just in case anyone thought that i was taking time off! LOL
The baby quilt was for a young lady in our church. the long table runner is mine made with a striped fabric. have a quilt from the same fabric line all basted. i just haven't had time to quilt it yet. the hexagon table topper and coaster set was for my DMIL for her birthday. the other quilt is one that I made for our vacation home from the Susan Winget line of beach/lighthouse fabrics from a couple of years ago. |
A very busy girl. Love the blue rose w/ coasters.

Wow, great things. I love that 60 degree table runner. It looks like you have pieced it. Great colors

Very nice all of them!
Love them all. Thanks for sharing.

Love the colors in the sailboat quilt, the idea that you included the matching pillow case with the quilt and the mug rugs you made to go with the one table runner. Also like the colors in the dark blue table runner. All your projects are wonderful and creative. Thanks for sharing.

I really couldn't pick a favorite here - all are great. But I must say I really like the layout of your sailboat/lighthouse quilt and am wondering if the baby quilt is a dp9 by any chance. They are usually (it seems to me) three colors but having only two this quilt has a neat design.
you've been busy! Love them all, but my fav is the hexagon. Even had a holder for the coasters!
Thanks for sharing these lovely quilted projects. You are obviously very talented and hard working.
Looks like you've been busy. They are all lovely.
I love the soft look of the sailboats quilt. Also impressed by your label which is showing on the last quilt. I'm always inspired by these postings.

@ ArtsyOne, thanks. I've been making labels on my computer from the beginning. Sometimes I get creative and sometimes not. This time i added a little border around it before I sewed it on. Eventually i would like to start making them on my embroidery machine. |
Very pretty. I love your color choices.
I love the quilt with the nautiical theme. Can you tell me what the pattern for the quit is? Or is it your own design. I would love to make one like that.
The pattern for the sailboat quilt was fromFons and Porters magazine., March/April 2007. It's called Aaian Harmony by Gail Kessler. I had to increase the size, so the layout might not be exactly the same. I didn't want to cut the designs so small that you couldn't see the prints. I didn't have a turning Twenty pattern so i used this. Now i would probably use the Double Slice Layer Cake from MSQC. Thanks.

busy, busy , busy... I like them all
WOW! You've been super busy!
Great projects! Thanks for sharing! |
Would you mind sharing what pattern you used for the hexagon table topper, coasters, and the coaster holder? I just love what you did there, and your colors are awesome! Thanks in advance.

Finally got around to looking up the patterns so I could answer the questions that were asked. The table runner isfrom a pattern called "Easy Striped Table Runner" designed by Karen Montgomery. Www.thequiltcompany.com. I bought it at the LQS. I also bought the 60 degree ruler that makes it easier. I actually pieced the first inside section on the runner because i wanted a dark strip in the center.
The coasters and holder came from the magazine-Quilts and More summer 2011. They were designed by Monica Solario-Snow of Happy Zombie(THEHAPPYZOMBIE.com) the hexagon table topper is a little more difficult because I kinda made it up as I went along. I had searched for one online and couldn't find anything. I was at the lake so I didn't have my library of books and patterns to look through. The center is basically a larger version of the coasters and i just kept adding strips around it. Either Kaye Wood or Eleanor Burns something similar. Sorry i can't be more helpful. |
Great work and lots of it...lol
