This is sooooo easy peasy pattern....I used not quite 2 twice the charm rolls for the windows and the rest I had to cut...just have to add my final black border and it is ready for my longarm....I made it in just 2 days...would have had it completed if I hadn't had company this weekend....

Awesome. I just love the colors you used.

This is so neat!! I saw one the other day @ Mill Ends!
Being a newbie I am a little confused about how many charms you used? '2 twice'? Is that 4 total packs or 2 of the 'twice' brand? Sorry? |
beautiful, were can i find this specific version of the shadow box?
|
The 3D effect is totally awesome!! Fabulous job! I hope to do one someday.

That is really cool!
Out of curiosity - I'm not going to make one right this moment since my to do list is far too big - but what is the pattern? That is really eye catching! |
Momof3E's they have precuts that are called twice the charm. they aren't charm packs, there is depending on the collection, there is any where from 14 to 20 strips that measure 5 1/2" wide by roughly 20 1/2" - 22" long....here is an example of a twice the charm roll.
http://www.fatquartershop.com/store/...79&Parent_Ids= depending on the collection, there is anywhere from 14 strips all the way up to 32 strips. The collection I used was a Jinny Beyer collection called Necessary Neutrals and it only had 14 strips in each bundle so I happened to have 4 bundles and the pattern for the smaller quilt 68x81inches called for 21 strips for the windows so I had to open up 1 full one and 7 strips from another bundle. Hope this helps. One can find this pattern called Shadowbox by Mountainpeek Creations designed by Kari Nichols http://mountainpeekcreations.com/ |
OMG, that is so beautiful. I would love to make one of those.
