My latest little Critters.
 

[ATTACH=CONFIG]363729[/ATTACH]I bought this fabric a long time ago, and took pics of the quilt made with it at my LQS. I lost the pics so decided to do my own thing. I forgot I had set the cutest critters aside, so I made another quilt with them.

I think I lost the attic window effect I was going for.

Cute critters, yes the attic window effect was lost.

Jingle, I'm thinking if I had quilted the lower part of the same color I may have got the "shelf" effect.

I think it has the look of columns along a wall with the critters being pictures hung on the wall. Very nice.

Thx Tess, I see that too. The critters are back in a shadow box, or deep in the shelves.

Thanks ladies! I was proud of myself for learning how to do the "attic windows" from a youtube video. My corners actually met up. I didn't do it the way where you use half-square triangles in the corner. I didn't have enough fabric to fix anything (not that there are crooked blocks or anything, lol, just design choices to make it wonky) or for many options so I was just happy I finally used the fabric I bought last year. The LQS made blocks of the pictures outlined with solids with sashing between. The fabric was all from the same line. I don't remember the name of it.

I think the thinner blue frame is what lost the attic window effect but now it looks like very deep shelves with them sitting at the back of the shelf. I like it.

The fabric below the "shelf" is all the same size. I'm thinking I should have quilted some thread in there to get the effect?

The attic windows effect might be gone, but I see typewriter keys. OR I guess I should say keyboard keys. In this generation, no one has ever heard of a typewriter!! :) The little critters are adorable, and the quilt is just too much fun!

Such cute fabric. Those critters are precious.

Maybe it's not quite what you were going for but it's a darn cute quilt. I love the expressions on those critters. It will be a hit with whoever receives it.
