I made a St Paddy's Day Table Runner for DIL and son. It still needs quilting and binding. The only thing I am good at is SID. Would like to try something easy so I can get it in the mail this week. Any easy suggestions is welcome. I also made a wreath for them and a afghan for a dear friends GD. Thanks in advance for your help.

I love them! I love the color sand fabricsof the Irish table runner.

Wonderful table runner. You done good on it. A simple cross hatch would go fast for quilting & easy to do. Also echo stitching would work & is also easy. If you are good at stitch in the ditch, you could do the echo with no problam. That is just 1/4 inch away from the ditch.

Everything is just wonderful! I love the fabric on the back of the tablerunner.

Great runner! I also like the idea of echo quilting. If you want to attempt some FMQ, I would strongly suggest that you do a bit of practice on some scrap sandwiches first, rather than trying a new techinque on this great topper.

Diane007 02-27-2013 06:00 AM

all are very nice

owlvamp 02-27-2013 06:09 AM

All are very beautiful. Love the table runner. Do you have directions or where I can find the pattern to crochet afghan? It is beautiful too!

RedGarnet222 02-27-2013 07:17 AM

I would say that you are a wee bit irish... LOL! Me too. I love the runner and the other projects are fun and nice too.

I love that tablerunner!

McDarla 02-27-2013 08:26 AM

I love it! I think if it were me I would still SID For this project. If your heart is set on trying somthing new, maybe stipple clovers in the white part of block or green border... maybe both. If nervous you could use clear thread. Whatcha think? :)

gabeway 02-27-2013 08:40 AM

Great job on all!

The afghan is called "Romantic Melody" 45 x 50 1/2 from the book Leisure Arts 40 Favorite Ripple Afghans.

I can make you one if I finde more of the wreath wrapping. This is for my son and DIL who is Active Duty Navy. She had ask me back in August of last year if I could make her something so she could decorate for every Holiday. I promised I'll do my best. The only two left to make is Easter and all the red, white, and blue holiday. Thus far she has been very satisfied with what I send her. This will complete the wreaths and table runner. Now I have to work on the wall hanging for the holidays.
