'Not your Grandmother's Tumbling Block' quilt top finally finished! Hooray!!! Now to get it quilted. Shorted material for border, so had to improvise. [ignore the date - camera all screwed up!]

And gifts for my Grandson's baby girl - due in Sept.

You must be cross-eyed after stacking all those blocks! Well, I would be. Great quilt...I don't think I'd have the patience to make that one...beautiful work.

The diaper bag and changing pad are so cute! Luv the green mixed with the pink and brown. Nice work!

Very nice tumbling blocks quilt! I have one that I have to finish quilting for my daughter.
That strip piecing was a great pattern!

Me too, It looks really hard..is it?

mommom 08-27-2010 05:56 AM

not too hard, but tedious...and you're working with bias cuts. of course I had to be smart [duh!] and make it queen size which took a lot more time and work. A friend and I took a class, then both put the project away for a few months before finishing it. Hers was made with pastels.

I love it!!! I have a pattern for a strip pieced tumbling block that I need to make one of these days!!! Yours is beautiful.
