Hi everyone! I'm going to try to post a few of my latest projects. The first is my 3rd quilt - a western theme for my best friend...unfortunately she snatched it out of my hands the minute it was done so I don't have proper pictures of it yet....
let's see if I can load it....the pattern is Turn and Burn and I did a quilt-as-you-go.... Thanks for looking

The 2nd project is a tote back - my very first one! It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be...

The last one isn't really quilting but I thought it was ever so cute....it is a Senior Bib. My boss wears it to lunch every day...and yes, he eats at restaurants!

One more...my table runner. I loved this pattern and finally found my perfect fabric for it. Just need to make some placemats!

Very nice. I haven't heard of a Turn and Burn. Is it difficult?

SharonAnne 08-27-2010 06:51 PM

Well, it was slow and steady for me because it was my first time with HSTs and there were sooooooooooo many of them. Hardest part was getting them all in the right spot before I sewed them. But I did enjoy working on it.

Ha! Look who's asking if it's difficult! I made a pot holder the other day and had to rip it out twice. Made the same stupid mistake all over again

LOL....sometimes the easiest looking projects turn out to be the hardest!!!

taggertykl 08-27-2010 06:59 PM

Thank you for your nice words. I am working on another quilt, this one for my daughter and I'm calling it Butterflies and Roses....I'm quilting as I go...the butterflies are machine quilted but the roses are hand-quilted. I can't wait to show it! :)

I'm so glad I decided to make a quilt, I am just loving quilting and I love this board...it is so full of inspiration!

Thank you, Magpie. I can't seem to get a decent picture of it! The edges of all the flowers in the print are actually gold and the background fabric has flecks of gold throughout. I just love it. My picture does not do it justice. Thanks again.
