Thank you all for the positive comments on Pete's Quilt. The book is"Friendship Blocks" New Settings for Sentimental Favorites by Marge Edie. The pattern is on page 30 and titled "Track and Trail." I would encourage everyone to give it a try. A lap quilt would be a good start and lots of fun, like a jigsaw puzzle.
