My Map Quilt

1 Attachment(s)
My quilts are usually donors to the cancer ctr at our hospital, but they have not been accepting because of Covid.
I have quite a stack in reserve, so I decided to make this map of the USA for selfish self! The pattern was free from Flamingo Toes. The states are fused onto background and open satin stitched around. I meandered in background and cross hatched in map. I think it is sooo cute, and I have plans to repeat with pastel solids/ Someday!

Thank you for the pattern information, will definitely have to check it out. I'm thinking of incorporating the state parks fabric into each state.

If interested there is a world map out there somewhere that's free too. I've been collecting fabrics for that pattern.

I love maps. Of any kind. I just tossed some of my sketches from High School and needed something to fill that space on the wall. Bought a wood framed map of Texas showing all Counties. Love your quilt!!

Oooh, I love it! I just have one question. Why is Oregon divided in two? Inquiring minds want to know . . .

That's a great quilt! The shapes of each state are just perfect. Well done!

Cute and could be finished in so many unique ways. Our grandson who is 8 is a huge map lover but already knows his states and all the interstates. He's better than Google maps LOL
