Here is the quilt I made this winter after not quilting for several years. I messed up and didn't use 1/4 inch seams so the sides don't match up like they should. Good thing it's just for our family room!

Thanks! It's true that only we can see the mistakes we make clearly!

My husband and my favorite season is fall. Also, we have very rich, deep colors in our family room - so I was inspired twice!

GMarie, my favorite season is fall too, though we barely get a taste of it here! That quilt is gorgeous!

Awsome! Hey, you know what? That quilt reminded me of another neat leaf quilt that you might like checking out.
I like this site. This lady has the best patterns and some folks (her fans, I guess) use them and post pics of their quilts. One really, really nice is the leaf quilt yours reminded me of. And, I also like to see what our European quilters are making too. And at one quilt show, I even saw one of her patterns on display. Check it out. This link is to the autumn leaves. The blocks are on top, the pic of the quilt is at the bottom. http://www.lenzula.com/projects/swaps/fallleaves.php She also has really nice paper-pieced star blocks. Check out the neat sand star quilt someone made at the bottom. This link is to a star quilt. http://www.lenzula.com/projects/swaps/sandstars.php |
Sooo pretty!! It made a wave of warmth go through me just looking at it and imagining being cuddled underneath. Awesome job!!

What a beautiful quilt. Love the color choices and the arrangement. Great job

Absolutely love it. I've been wanting to make a maple leaf quilt for years now. You did a wonderful job. I doubt if the Quilt Police are going to come to your house to measure your quilt, so I wouldn't worry about the sides matching
