My March quilts

I love doing quilting on panels, so that's the fairy quilt you see. It is for Project Linus. The second one is a gift for our team leader of the Guatemala Project. We took a mission trip in February and I bought the fabric there. It was a "bear" to quilt. . hand woven, very stretchy and raveled a lot. The center square is a machine applique of our team t-shirt. The third quilt is a "water color". . two identical panels, with the second one being cut up into 2" squares and interspersed among the other squares in the palette colors. I love using the fusible pellon with the grid printed on it for making the squares easily!! It is for Prayers and Squares. They are all lap size.

And I forgot to mention, the pattern for the Guatemala quilt came from the impression in the concrete sidewalk that we took every day on the way to breakfast. You know how we quilters get our inspiration from bathroom tiles. . . whatever? lol

I really like the movement in your Guatamala quilt. And the top quilt really carries through the impression of an impressionist painting with the way you dappled the colored blocks. Fun color choices for the fairy quilt as well. A productive month for you ;-)

What a wonderful trio of quilts.

Your watercolour is quite attractive done with the panel.
A beautiful panel print to start, then framed nicely with the squares.
Did you do any planning for the placement of the squares?
Or were they totally random as to where they landed?

Yes, I did some planning. I laid them out on the pellon grid to arrange them. I tried to echo the panel a bit. That is why there is no purple or yellow in the upper left corner.
