My Modern Quilt FINISHED!
 

I followed along with Leah Day for this project - didn't get it done in time to post along with the rest of the quilters that were working on it, but knew I wanted to share it here too - the project was for a "Wonky" modern quilt so as you can see, it's all a bit on the tilt, she showed us how to make the blocks then play with them for layout - stitch it all together, then showed how to divide it in sections for the quilting to come later. It was lots of fun, and went really fast - I used my new "Sunshine 16" rather than my domestic, I was soooooo happy I picked up the Sunshine last month, it works Great!

It looks great! I started out with Leah at the beginning of the year but fell so far behind and so quickly that now I just read her posts. I would have loved to try this one but knew it just wouldn't happen. Hope she leaves those projects up for a long , long time because that is what it will take for me to ever get to it. :)

A wonderful job! It's scary to take off and try new FMQ techniques, but when I do, it is so rewarding and I learn so much.

I followed Lea's quiltalong but didn't do the quilt project as I have other important projects to focus on. Your quilt finished up beautiful and very modern looking with the white background. Your quilting looks really great too. Thanks for sharing your project.

Thank you - and the piping isn't exactly piping, I followed a tut by Charisma for doing the "Flange" with binding. It's so narrow it does look like piping, but much easier!
