Using an idea I saw here. I started with a $35 cut for me sheet of corrugated plastic. That gave me 60 boards. I then went to Hobby Lobby and purchased two of their largest foam boards for $10 and cut another 60 boards. I spent last night and today cutting and wrapping my cuts of fabrics collected over the last two years. They filled two of the buckets and I really didn't know until now, just what I had. Of course the fabric I'm currently using for my Farmer's Wife Sampler isn't in here. :) I'm very happy with the results. Thank you.

looks great, where did you buy your corrugated plastic, and what size did you cut them
foam boards for the bigger pieces of fabric???

Won't that be so convenient to see everything at a glance. Which boards did you prefer for wrapping the fabric.

Both boards worked well for the fabric. I like the foam better. I could cut it myself and work the sizes both for the large boards and the fat qtr. I like the price much better too. I don't mind paying a fair price, and the $35 is a fair price for the plastic which I got at a local sign shop. But I need to save pennies where I can and I couldn't beat the price of $10 for 60 boards over the $35.
I had found one of those Fabric Organizers at Hobby Lobby last year for $1.00. But I wasn't willing to spend $100 on what I thought at the time were "those silly little plastic boards". And when the I saw a thread here on someone finding their own plastic and doing their own. I thought I could do that too. And did. Ta DA! |
oh.. sorry.. the large boards are cut 14" x 5" and the small boards using the shorts from the sheet are no smaller than 4" x 3" but mostly 6" x 5".
