It's a beautiful quilt and I am sure your mom will love it. I moved my mom into assisted living 3 years ago. I made her a new quilt for her bed too. I also make small wall hangings to hang on her door. They are about 12 inches square. I make a lot of them and change them often for her depending on the holiday or season. She looks forward to them. They are a great conversation starter with the other residents and staff. Since you are so far away, they also go thru the mail easily too. I have mailed several during the pandemic. Little things mean so much.

The quilt is lovely, and your mother is bound to feel the love you put into it. I know how difficult it is to be so far away from a parent in a situation like this. How nice that your sister is close by. Best wishes to all of you.
