If using this quilt as a tablecloth for get-togethers I would suggest getting clear plastic vinyl to use to completely cover over the quilt. I would not want to get food stains on a quilt that would be such a cherished family heirloom.

I also have a top that was left to me and I am going to finish it. It is so wonderful to have a treasure like these. Enjoy your treasure, your grandma will always be with you!!

Lovely quilt and a great heirloom for your family. I agree with Pam...be sure to cover it if you're going to use it on the table.
