My new Bag
2 Attachment(s)
I was inspired by merrylouw http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...e-t258897.html to make myself a new bag. I was after something big with many pockets for the days when I am on grandma duty and after seeing what merrylouw made I set out the draft up something similar however I did not want mine to be reversible as I used light fabric for the interior - I find it easier to locate items in the bag rather than having a dark interior.
I put a velcro strip on the inside of the large pocket to secure valuable items and put a velcro flap on the outside of the bag as well. Here is the outside And here is the inside of the bag Thank you for looking |
Just my sort of bag. Plenty of pockets and room just the thing too take to a quilting class.

A very smart looking and useful bag!

Pretty! I like all the pockets, too. I'm just now learning to make the bow tucks bags with some pretty good results. Your fabric looks elegant.

That came out really nice.

Karen,
You did a great job, and really adapted the bag to fit your specific needs. Love your idea for the light interior fabric, but I'm sure I would get mine dirty very quickly! Hugs, Merry Lou W |
Very cute bag!

That is super!! Would make a good knitting or crochet bag too.
|
Nice, I love the print!!
|
Thanks Merry Lou W for the inspiration and lovely comments. I tried the bag out the other day and it was plenty big enough to put all that I needed to take plus more. I love those pockets on the outside - they are just right for putting in bus tickets etc that you need to access quickly.
