Hi, just finished a new Diva bag, it is a purse and can also be worn as a backpack. It has loads of pockets inside & out, nice big zippered opening and I think it will be very useful and a perfect size for me, also got to practice my quilting. Thanks for looking.
This is a small pocket with a basketweave type quilting, wish I had done it in a contrasting thread This is the bag itself, it opens up and the straps go over as a backpack. my fmq, I really am starting to enjoy this part, getting smoother & more even every time I do it |

Well!!! Look who's getting fancy! LoL! Very nice job all the way around. I like your pattern and fabric choices a lot.
|
Very nice! I have a pattern I must try, soon!
|
Most definitely a one of a kind....I really like it and need a purse. Have Patterns but.....My oldest daughter designs them but doesn't make one big enough for me. :? Maybe Christmas?
|
Very nice! Great job - what was the name of the pattern you used?
|
I really like that!

Nice bag!!

What a great job you have
done making this bag!! :D I just love it. Thank you for sharing with all of us. :D :D :D :D |
Thanks, everybody, I just used some fabric that I had (barely had enough, that's why the pockets and zipper part is a different colour. I really enjoyed making it, it was good to practice quilting on and I love the size of it (I too have problems with purses, either too small or too large, not enough pockets, or something "not quite right"). The pattern is called Diva Essential Designer Bag by Thumbuddy Special, Lynnda Enright and the directions are quite easy to follow, even pictures to help along (my brain doesn't do well with written instructions, I guess I am more a slow, visual learner. I plan to make a couple more, my DIL just loved it (and if she was just being polite, too bad for her, she is getting one)

I really like that!!! And you did a beautiful job on your FMQ!!!! :D :D

What a great bag. I love it. Your quilting is awesome. Great job.

An incredible bag!!!! Sheesh, it makes my simple little totes look primitive. I love all the pockets and your stitching is really, really great!
|
Your bag is great, would love to have one. Where did you find the pattern, I can't seem to locate one online.
|
Thanks again, this is the first quilted thing I can say I am really happy with. I got the pattern at my LQS but you can e-mail or call her (Eugene,Oregon) at 541-688-9035, the blurb on the internet (you can just google thumbuddy special and will find all the info)says she hasn't got an on-line store yet. I think all you seasoned quilters will likely find it a breeze to make up.
