UGH. It has been sooooo hot and muggy here that I have not been able to practice on my new Innova since Monday! I don't have AC and there is only a fan in the window. My dealer said it probably wasn't a good idea to run it when temps are near the 90's and I really don't want to either. Too hot and sticky in that room even with the fan.
I haven't named her yet but I am thinking "sportster" cuz she cost as much as a Harley Sportster motorcycle and all my non quilting biker friends then quickly understand why I am dedicating an entire room in my house to a sewing machine and can grasp why I am "into this quilting thing" sew much :lol:

It will cool down and then you can make up for lost time. Just a normal hot, muggy summer in and around Missouri. Couldn't live without A/C, I use to but, once I got use to it, I wouldn't want to go back.

Get a window unit in there a get to quilting. I had to put a window unit in my room and I only turn it on when I'm in there. Have fun and keep uo the good work!

I did not have any tops ready to go when I got this sweet baby. So since I posted this topic I have been piecing like a fiend. I completed a top I had relegated to WOMBAT status and then had to piece a back for it. Then just finished up an autumn leaf quilt top so I would have another in the que. I finally got a real quilt loaded on last weekend (the WOMBAT). I figured the WOMBAT was a good first candidate because I really don't care if I mess up on this one. I haven't gotten very far with it yet because I decided I had to do pebbling on the inner border. Pebbling is time consuming but boy does it really give a nice look. I will post a picture soon.

Isn't that "fish" a piranha? lol....I'm reading these old posts and I am totally amazed at your progress. I quilt on a domestic machine and keep telling myself I don't "need" a longarm....but man!!!!!!do I want one!
