I sure am enjoying it. I can go out there and be by myself and the nicest part is I can leave a project out to go back to and it doesn't bother anyone.

Any hubby now can finish renovating the house.

Machel 04-16-2009 06:59 PM

Skeat 04-17-2009 04:27 PM

What a fun room to play!! He IS the man!!:)Goes back to that old saying...'if momma ain't happy....' or 'a happy wife is a happy life'..:)LOL You have taught him the right priorities! Now, I will be double impressed if your kitchen isn't ready:)LOL

Love the looks of your quilting system...what frame do you have? And, what machine too (If you don't mind my asking):)I've been looking and asking many questions and been checking them out online too...but, don't remember seeing your system anywhere before. I want the 4th roller on whatever I end up with for sure;)Not to work anyone else's but, just mine:)Pushing these quilts thru my machine is killing my shoulders...espec on the big ones:)Thanks Skeat

Mountainquilter 04-17-2009 05:08 PM

You are more than welcome to come on over and play in my studio.

I actually have to leave the house to go to my studio, it's not attached.

Mountainquilter 04-17-2009 05:15 PM

My room is great. And I will pass your comments on to DH.

My machine is a Viking Mega Quilter with Grace frame. I got it as a package while in South Carolina a year ago. Actually my husband is the one who talked me into getting it. I thought it was to much money, but he said if you will use it then buy it. So we did.

I saw a set up today at the Machine Quilters Expo in Manchester, New Hampshire. It was a good show. will post pics tomorrow.

littlehud 04-17-2009 06:40 PM

What a wonderful room. He is a dear.

Janstar 04-17-2009 07:12 PM

Super room and DH. I was going to ask the same thing as Skeat, so thanks for the answer. Have fun!!!!!!!

omak 04-17-2009 09:25 PM

oh, my! All of the sewing rooms are so wonderful!
I told hubby: I don't have enough STUFF! Look at all her thread!
He just smiled ... in a sick kind of manner. He has learned to not be too friendly about these offhand comments. <G>

blahel 04-17-2009 09:36 PM

What a great space! you must enjoy spending 'ME' time in there..i especially like it when quilters show their sewing rooms and they have their work up on the walls around them which is what i hope to do some day when the kids move out....

tlrnhi 04-17-2009 09:43 PM

What a great room!!!!

CindyBee 04-18-2009 01:16 AM

Awesome room! Remember you have to come out occasionally :D

Mountainquilter 04-20-2009 04:32 AM

I'm hosting a mini-retreat this weekend in my studio.

It should be fun. WE are going to have 4 sewing machines going. I'll let you know how it all works out.

If it goes well, I will start having more.

Rose Marie 04-20-2009 07:10 AM

So cool and you have a long arm too.
Thats a great space, I would never leave the room.
