I can only imagine the work you’ve done to just get that all cut out! I can’t wait to watch your progress...it is going to be stunning, I just know it.

Nope! That would take forever and I don't like UFOs!

It actually wasn't that bad. It only took me an hour. The method for this is to fold the fabric in four. The pattern you have is for the "top right corner". So you trace the pattern on the fabric (that has four pieces), and you are cutting through all four layers at once. And then when you open it ... voila!

Just beautiful! I made one of their patterns by needleturn, my first. And I hand quilted it. One was enough. I want to do more but will use batiks, fuse the appliqués and then quilt close to the raw edge.

Love your color choice-can't wait to see the finished quilt. I am currently finishing the quilting on "Sea Turtles and Dolphins" and getting ready to start on "You are in our Hearts". I have been doing by needle turn and echo quilting by hand (something to do while watching TV) but on next one I am going to hand turn and then do the quilting by machine.
Keep us posted on your progress. Your tessellation quilt is amazing.
