Gorgeous gals! How fun for you all! My boys, 21 & 10, have always been curious, but never interested in joining in!

That is great. Three beautiful young ladies and future quilters.
Know you are proud of them. |
It skipped a generation in my family too. My DGD loves to piece quilts (that's all she's done so far) but her mother, my DD has no interest in it at all.
Your granddaughters are beautiful. I have three more very young ones that may take an interest later. |
My fondest memories are of my grandmother who lived with us...sitting under a window and teaching me how to crochet...I have one of her beautiful cotton thread blankets...

You are immortal through them! They will remember all you taught them and talk about all the good times they had sewing with Gramma! You and they are blessed. They are lovely young ladies!!! Enjoy!
|
What great memories you will have quilting with your DGD's.

How wonderful! I hope to teach my granddaughter this summer.

Awesome. And such cute helpers
|
It's a win/win!! Your daughters will treasure the quilts and the grandaughters have learned a life long love of quilting and had precious time with grandma besides. I love to see young quilters. It's a wonderful thing to learn.

Thank you all for your kind comments. It has really been a joy teaching them and just spending the time. It's been great watching their creativity. I let them choose 5" charm packs and their own sashing, binding and backing fabrics. All three are very distinct and different. This has definitely been a "create a memory" time with them! And has brought back memories of my Grandmother with her quilt frame on a pulley on the front porch--she would let it down to work on it, then pull it up out of the way when she wasn't! And also memories of my aunt teaching me to sew the summer I turned 8 yrs. old!
