My next hand quilting project
3 Attachment(s)
I have a quilt, I'm hand quilting now. The quilt I'm working on is 90% done. So I thought I better get another quilt top ready to hand quilt. I need some more of the background fabric. I got on the google search, and found 3 shops. And talked with them. I told them I would send some of the material I need. The fabric is called stonehenge. I hopeing I have enought to go around the partial done quilt top, with 3'' strip. As for the border, I think I'll go with 2-3 different colors with what is in the quilt block with -2 1/2-3'' strip. Just a simple border. I think I will make 6 more block. It's not quit wide enough. Take care everyone. This quilt is called Georgia Peach from a book by Judy Martin--Ultimate book of quilt block patterns. A close up view.

Quilts are fabulous and so are you. Sincerely admire all the quilting work you do and keeps me moving forward.

Very nice... :-)

I love to hand quilt. I'm not great at it, BUT I don't care LOL. I love the way it looks, plain and simple!! Show some close ups!
Very nice...thanks for sharing.
Very nice and good luck with your search.

Don. These are beautiful quilts!!! I love your quilts.. and always am inspiration! Is there a number on the selvage for the stonehenge fabric? Thousands of bolts carries a lot of Stonehenge at a good price.

great work!!!

I love your little companion. You keep making these stunning quilts!! Judy Martin quilts are a challenge. Was one of her patterns that was my first commission quilt. Stonehenge leaves you open to a whole lot of fabric by Northcott. Good Luck.

you did great !!!

I'm always tickled pink to see others' hand quilting work. Terrific quilts!
That Georgia Peach is just "peachy". Love it.
Awesome as usual, Don. Love your quilt inspector.
Great looking quilts :)
As usual superb work Don. You have a great eye for design and your output is astounding. Give your little friend a pat from Western Australia....looks like a real little sweetie. Take care and happy quilting.
Lovely quilt. Love your color choice for the Georgia peach. Thanks for sharing with us.
You do great work- lovely quilts.
Beautiful job! You should be proud of yourself. I am hand quilting grandmother's flower garden with 1930's reproduction fabric - an ongoing project for years.
Both are very pretty; nice work. Hopefully after this Summer is finally over, I can get back into quilting. Has been a very stressful 3 months. Mariah

Like your quilts and your puppy!
Your little quilt inspector seems to approve : ) All your quilts are amazing, and these are no exceptions. Great job. Stonehenge should be fairly easy to find.
Great quilts! Looks like your inspector is approving too!
Very nice. Is refreshing to know a quilt is being "hand quilted" for a change. Everything seems to be done by machines these days. Good job.
Wow that sure is a ton of hand quilting. Beautiful quilt and such a cute quilt inspector.
