What a gentle and memorable quilt. May it bring you hope.

I have shirts waiting also but got too finish this one quilt top I have been on forever. Isn't tying a quilt hard? Looks like the yarn would be too big too go through the quilt. I know it would be better for me than sewing the quilt together I THINK! So much too learn but I am looking at books and listening too all of you so I will learn a few things along the way!

I love it! Especially the little squares and how it is tied. It makes me want to wrap it around me.

Nice work!

What a charming quilt, it has a vintage look to it, I love these kind of quilts, for me this is what quilting is all about! What did you tie it with, it looks like wool?

Thanks Poodles. The tieing is not hard. I used Redheart sport weight yarn 4oz.
A large yarn needle with a point. Sometime it sticks but you can always use a pair of pliers to pull the thread thru. It is also best not to get the stitches to far apart. That way when you tie it in a square knot. It doesn't bunch. Any questions let me know. |
Thanks Ladies for all your compliments. Sad to admit I let it sit so long before I finished it. The shirts were some of my own, a friend, and donations that my spouse refused to even look at. They were just to good to pass up.
The quilt is only a lap top size. But very soft and comfy. Glad I was able to find it and share it with you all. Sandra sadheart |
