My Picnic Quilt
1 Attachment(s)
I've been collecting homespuns for several years now. Finally made something for myself, a picnic quilt to keep in my car. And I still have a bin full of plaids left. Now we just have to find time to relax and go on a picnic.

very inviting quilt, great job on it

Thanks for taking a peek at my quilt. I wanted to make a quick quilt, of course, nothing is ever quick. Each block is 6" and there are 10 across. The border is 5". The toughest part was fussy cutting each block so the plaids are fairly straight. I emphasize fairly straight. I wanted to use a serpentine stitch across the blocks to quilt it, but my Bernina doesn't have one. I found if you lengthen one of the zig zags, it looks like a serpentine. Then I used my BSR to stipple, but I'm not that good at avoiding sharp angles. Dh says I have way too much time into my quilts to use them on the ground or on a grungy table in the woods. I say, that's why they invented washing machines.

It will be a very pretty picnic quilt, well done.
