I made a couple pair too. 2 are lined with fusable interfacing,1 lined with fusable fleece interfacing. I forgot to do the sewing around the legs on one. I think they look cuter with the sewing.

Very cute! I did my zig zag as the last step after construction. I adjusted my setting to a fairly large zig zag, put on my open toe foot so I could see where to sew the edge and knotted and buried my thread ends when finished. I did increase the stitch length as I came to the thicker outside corner but I had no trouble sewing slowly off the edge. I can do a pair in half an hour now, guess what everyone is getting for Christmas.

Before reaching the picture portion of your post, I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's a really cute idea. Thanks for sharing.

Tartan what did you use for the interfacing? did you like it? I think I am going to make a pair out of flannel next, just to see how they look.

I did not use interfacing. I cut the outside fabric out, laid it on top of a 80/20 rectangle of quilt batt and stitched around the top fabric 1/8 in from the edge. I then cut away the extra batt and it made it stable enough to continue. My lining was a rectangle of poly/cotton broadcloth. I made a few other changes that work well for me but do what works for you.

Thanks. I was just wondering. Always ready to try something else. Takes me about 30 minutes too. The first pair I kept saying "do what"? Then it sunk in. lol.
