I made this same tote to take to Hawaii with me Feb 2012. I used a remnant of Laurel Birch fabric, and did a "few" things different than the pattern suggested. I don't know if I have any photo's, but I may try and post one. I did get MANY compliments on mine, and it was the only "purse" I took.
Have a great trip. Susan |
Ohh, I want one! And a tote would be nice too!

Great job , nice tote and enjoy your trip with your loveable goofball.....
ps hang onto both!!! |
But, it doesn't match his shoes, to quote my husband!!

Love your tote but your model needs a higher pair of shoes and a different look to them lol.

Have a great trip. Susan Please post your pics. I'd love to get different ideas on this pattern for when I make another one. Has anyone ever used soft and stable instead of dura bond? I was wondering how that would look. I usually try to make a first project by the instructions, but think of other ways to do it while I'm constructing it. Thanks for all the complements, you sure made DHs day. |
It does match his outfit (and Personality?) perfectly, I think!!!! What a great guy!

What fun you two must have! I have wanted to make that tote since January, and finally bought the pattern. Thanks for the inspiration.

The tote looks great, lots of places to keep things. I think it's cute that your DH wanted to model it for you - bet he likes it too.

Nice looking tote and it seems your husband is in spite of his goofing around that he is very proud of you and your accomplishments.
