Lovely quilts - I didn't realize there is an 'autism awareness ribbon' so I learned something new today, thank you :lol:

Love the autism quilt. My GS is autistic, too. I bought a whole bolt of the puzzle piece fabric and am making a couple simple kid sized quilts for the Autism Walk where my DD & GS live.

Hobby Lobby carries the bright puzzle print.

Yep, sure is. I even have a tattoo of it on my right leg. This picture was taken the day it was done, so the yellow shows a bit of the blood coming through. It doesn't look like that anymore.

wonderful quilts! A dear friend of mine is going to be opening a school for kids with autism and asperger's. Her son, Joey, was mainstreamed in elementary, but middle school is a real challenge.

I LOVE THEM ALL..... MY FAVORITE IS THE AUTISM ONE....THE COLORS ARE SO HAPPY LOOKING... !!!! Thanks for for sharing....

I have seen the autistic fabric before in joann's . It is either with the novety fabric or the keepsake calicos. And it was not labeled as a special needs fabric like the ones for breast cancer.

I they should be labeled. Many people don't realize what it stands for. I have the ribbon tattoo'd on my right ankle. I get lots of questions, asking what it is.
