Great quilt. I really like the idea of having a quilt with both sides equally as pretty so that it is reversible. How in the world did you ever get it all centered to quilt it?

Hi Barb - my husband and I worked together to make it as straight as possible. It's not perfect, but pretty close!

Great job and you have given me hope that it just might be possible for me to finish the Grand Illusion...possibly.

Yooper32 - I cannot wait to see your Grand Illusion. I love the secondary pattern that pops out when the blocks come together. Celtic Solstice was the first Bonnie Hunter quilt I tried.

Hi Fay - Thanks! I should have said I started this in July. I also completed a few projects between then and now, you know, according to what was needed done. It is a lot of small pieces to sew, so the quilt was definitely tiime consuming.

Homemother 02-15-2015 03:23 PM

Thanks to everyone for your nice comments. BH quilts are a lot of pieces and it's a huge commitment to complete one. I am not good with color so I stayed with Bonnie's color choices, even though I tried many other combinations. Being a different color scheme than I usually choose, it gives my bedroom a completely different feel. It's nice to change things up a bit! I fell in love with the design and decided I really had to make one. Thanks again for your kind words!
