Nice job...

Thanks so much for the suggestion! I was kind of thinking of using the built-in serpentine stitch on my viking and criss-crossing the lines. I think it would look like chicken wire?? Thanks again!

Here is a suggestion for quilting: how about hexagons so it looks like chicken wire? quite large so as not to obscure the lovely roosters. If you quilted it in vertical lines, the double quilted parts would be like the wires twisted together. (Each block could be in a different thread to contrast with the rooster in that block.) Here is a picture which might clarify this. http://lacrittersitter.com/blog/wp-c...ickenwire1.jpg Whatever you do I am sure it will be lovely!! |
Absolutely wonderful, love those fabrics.

Nice! I like chickens and roosters too.

I love your rooster quilt. I have a backyard flock of hens and one bad boy rooster named Ralph. He is soo much the man of his flock but there are times I threaten him with a roasting pan! If he had a calendar in the barn he just might be a little more watchful of me. LOL
You did a great job on your quilt and I'm sure it'll be much loved. |
Wonderful!

Very pretty. (I'm a big rooster fan - so of course I love it) and I really like that you put one going the opposite way. Good job.
