I'm so excited - my 10 yards of Red Rooster Cafe Late fabric came today! I could sit and just play with this fabric for the rest of the night and be happy - I didn't realize that there would be such a huge difference in the feel of this fabric as opposed to what I usually get. I have no idea what I'm going to use it for yet, but I'll definitely order more!

Isn't new fabric fun? :D It's all soooo pretty! Can't wait to see what you do with it.
I'm waiting (rather impatiently) for my order from Connecting Threads. Someone on here posted the link to their site and I went crazy with the threads. I ordered 30 spools and I'm already drooling just thinking about opening that box!!! |
lovely fabrics..i have never bought anything online yet but seeing all these beautiful fabrics you all buy is definitely tempting me..

I know exactly what you mean!! Do you smell it too?
I can't wait to see what you decide to make with those awesome colors. |
they look yummy!! Yes I too would have played with them all day :)
|
Very nice - what site did you get it from?
|
beachlady, I got this batch off E-Bay from Crows Nest Quilting Fabrics:
http://stores.ebay.com/CROWSNESTQUILTINGFABRICS With shipping, it was still just under $3.90 a yard. Cheaper than the fabric stores and better quality - I love it! |
This is why you buy good fabric and limit the WalMart fabric to items like pillows etc. Good fabric is needed for a good quilt. You won't be able to see through it and it won't stretch unless on the bias. I personally would rather have a few good fabrics then a large stash of unusable thin quilting fabric. Of course, this is just my opinion....I had to learn the hard way. Thanks, GiGi

Thanks for the link, Roben, I just ordered 8 yards from that ebay seller. With shipping costs to Ireland of $11, it works out at about $4.40 a yard, or around 3 Euro a yard. With fabric here in a quilt shop costing up to 18 Euro a yard, you can imagine how happy I am at this moment!!! I'll be watching the posrman next week!!
