My scribble play free-motion quilting on a doll sleeping bag!
2 Attachment(s)
Here is number 3 of the doll sleeping bags I make for my great nieces. I let them pick out the fabric for their bags.
I call the free-motion quilting "scribble play" because it looks like a child's scribbling...where crossing the lines and unmatched sizes of shapes are ok....after all the project goes to a child. Try it, it is fun and takes the fear out of free-motion quilting for beginners like me. Here is the earlier post if you would like to see the other 2 bags and how to make one. http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...g-t285530.html |
That is so very, very cute. Your free motion quilting looks great. I have never gotten the hang of it. My brain just doesn't seem to want to go in the direction the loops & swirls are suppose to go in. Also, I seem to always quilt myself into a place where I can get out of....sort of like painting yourself in a corner. :) They say practice, practice, practice but I don't think I have patience, patience, patience. Yours looks so much better than the attempts I've made. Keep up the good work & thanks for sharing & encouraging me to keep trying.
