This pattern is Diamond Patch by Diana Beaubien at Pleasant Valley Creations. I bought the pattern through Annie's Catalog online.
The nice thing is that, other than the nine-patch blocks, there is no other piecing. So it goes together rather fast. In fact, I used four-patch blocks in the previous one I made, because I didn't want to make nine-patch blocks. And it occurs to me that you could simply use a single block in place of the nine-patch, so there'd be no piecing at all. Of course, I'd use a fabric that stands out as the inner border (that's what I call the nine-patch blocks).
