Just finished this quilt for the grandkids guest bed It started out as a small scrappy star and just kept growing. I am a hand quilter so production is slow but it is mine start to finish.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It is nice to have your work so well received. Only another quilter can truly appreciate how much of ourselves we put into each project.

Wow! Beautiful! The colors and the quilting! My first quilt is hidden away somewhere in the attic. It is a Texas Lonestar. I used sandpaper templates to cut the pieces and did not think to allow for seam allowances, so when I put the points together, I needed to make an additional point. It must be priceless though, being probably the only Texas Lonestar quilt in the world with nine points!
|
Well, I'm IMPRESSED...#2 looks too good to be true...you were obviously "BORN TO QUILT"! I just wish I could feel this happy quilt, TexasGranny, but since I can only look, would you be so kind as to tell me what batting you used?
Great job on this one! |
Maybe I should start asking advice from you. I did understand you right ? han quilting it.
|
Good job! Fun to look at with those bright colors and simple design.
|

Great job on this one! I like the feel of cotton batting for hand quilting and used Warm and White for this one. |
