To those interested, the pattern for the scissors is in the American Quilter magazine Vol XXV, No.2 March 2009, it's an Asian design issue.

The Featherweight sewing machine cover can be found at www.kaymackenzie.com, design by Kay Mackenzie, it's called "Sew Crazy".

Have fun, would love to see you covers.

Thank you for posting the info for these patterns.

How very pretty. My problem is I would take them off and lose them in the piles of fabric and ongoing projects. Maybee I could add a "leash" to mine and attach it to each machine... :lol:

Thank you so much for the pattern info. Would love to create a wall hanging for my sewing area. You did a wonderful job.

Purplefiend: Sure show us your covers. Maybe it will give us some ideas on how to cover our "old girls".

MISHNJIM 11-24-2010 04:27 PM

Beautiful job on all three. I really need to make one for my machine also. Just too cute!!! Not sure which one I like the best.

The covers are for my 2 Singer treadles. I had 8 string blocks leftover from making charity baby quilts, the covers are fully lined and bound with bias binding.
A 201K in a straight leg cabinet and the 15-90 is in a "Franken" treadle;
Singer coffin top and Elgin irons(by Free Co.) Its a very smoothly running set of irons.
