My sewing machine needed a home...

...so I'm making one. :)
It's a little hard to tell in the photo, but I quilted the walls horizontally in random, slightly wavy lines 1/4-1/2" apart, and the roof is cross-hatched. I used W&N batting, but it was too floppy on it's own, so I constructed a frame using an old cardboard box and some duct tape. I haven't decided yet if I should keep it simple with just one big door and window, or if I should really go all out and make it a two story house with lots of frilly details. Opinions and suggestions gratefully welcomed! |
looks great so far

Yes it does look great so far! It will look wonderful whether you put a few simple windows/doors or if you decide to go all out with fun, frilly details. I'd probably go all out and and let the creativity flow!
Love the entire idea :) Christine |

That is so clever!!!

Very interesting project.

Great idea. Put a door and some windows - make it a real home.

The old machines had 'coffins' to cover them. I like a house much better!

How creative is this!! Can't wait to see the finished product! So do you just it set down on top of the machine or is it a carrying case?
