There's another of my mother's needlepoints (a vase of roses) over the shelf near the cutting table...kinda dark picture. She made it for my grandmother and then it came to me after my grandmother's death.

I love looking up and seeing things that were made by my loved ones...a cross-stitch by my step-daughter; embroideries by my late uncle; a wooden bowl made by my grandfather. I have great-grandmother quilt blocks to make a wall hanging and more needlework to frame when I can afford it!

My eyes just changed to emerald green! I wish my room looked so good. I am going to steal your design wall idea. I think I can get my hubby to arrange something similar to hang in front of one of my sets of shelves.
