Oh, I love your story and your quilter. I have an 8 year old quilter. He shows no signs of letting that go as a sissy thing to do. I noticed he is sewing on a Bernina Record 830 (circa mid 70s)... a wonderful machine. My GKs love sewing on mine too. And they love the Bernina Artista also with the needle down/up positioner. Sewing grandkids are the greatest!!

You & your boy have stolen my heart. I can't wait to see the finished quilt.

Great photos! Looks like you may need another sewing room!

How fun, and you are creating great memories together!!

What a special thread! I love the "Look" and recognize it from my sons. LOL... What a long ago memory.
You are very lucky to have your little guy interested in your craft and spending time with grandma. |
Boy you keep invading mum's space!!

LOL. ADHD rearing its ugly head. He cross-cut and added 1 strip to each block and cut the chains apart. But I do get my room back for now. I was able to retrieve his Featherweight after work. "How many times to I have to do this???" I told him that his quilt has 12 blocks - mine has 28. He called me a fool... gotta love living with teens.
End of year testing is happening now, so he is relaxing. He did make bookmark for his dad using scraps from his quilt. Cheers, K |
Love that he did his drawing in the graph paper. Can't wait to see the top
