jTreadle 08-21-2011 05:24 AM

Dear Joyce Get some 1 1/2" PCV pipe , cut four 12" pieces and put your cutting table legs in them , this will raise your table and save your back. Your room looks great ! JoAnn

Love the "holding area". I need to start using that term, it sounds better! Enjoy all that space.

Hi - Just a suggestion for your cutting table. I purchased some bed-risers for $9.99 (at wal-mart) I put the under my cutting table and it raised the table up so my back doesn't hurt from leaning over the table.

Miss Priss 08-21-2011 08:29 AM

Very nice room. Are you a short person. I would be bent to my kees working on those table.

karenpatrick 08-21-2011 08:50 AM

Much neater than mine. Nice area.

Becky Crafts 08-21-2011 08:55 AM

Mickie612 08-21-2011 10:08 AM

All these neat sewing rooms, How do you do it?Does it stay that way or is it only for pictures?

cctx. 08-21-2011 10:11 AM

Great room, have fun in there too.

DonnaB 08-21-2011 10:26 AM

Very neat, organized... a small suggestion, looks like your cutting table is a bit low, you can raise the table by adding cut off PVC pipe to the legs. Really will save your back.

jojosnana 08-21-2011 11:13 AM

Nice job. I love the idea of a holding area......

pbjbaby 08-21-2011 02:24 PM

thanks for sharing the pics! I just got into my sewing/spare room and was wondering how to store the fabric and notions. I just wish I had more room for cutting...still have to figure logistics.

joann hussey 08-21-2011 02:42 PM

Great room, you need to hang one of your quilts on the wall, than the room is yours!

I found a plastic stackable bin for my notions and patterns at a yard sale for $5. Three large drawers and four small ones. Will you post pictures of your sewing room.

Good for you!! Nice to have your own room to create.

jeanharville 08-21-2011 06:31 PM

So happy for you. I have a sewing/bedroom too. Only there's no bed. When guests come, we have a nice inflatable mattress that we put in the middle of the floor. Works great, it's comfortable for a couple of nights, but doesn't encourge long visits :>)

BarbaraSue 08-21-2011 06:47 PM

Nice space. My "holding area" is more like stacked area.

carslo 08-21-2011 07:31 PM

4EVERquilt 08-21-2011 07:32 PM

Nice area, you're doing a great job on getting it in order.

ctmhjenn 08-21-2011 07:52 PM

Don't you just love those fabric boards? I have a ton of them. I get the plastic cardboard from a sign shop and my husband cuts them to the size I want. As for the sewing area...LOVE IT! I wish mine was as clean and neat as yours is. Enjoy! I would love to get mine all cleaned and new again.

owlvamp 08-21-2011 08:11 PM

NancyNC 08-22-2011 06:12 AM

Nice room! I like to do cutting standing up, so went to Ross and for about $6 bought a set of bed risers and put them under the legs of the folding table I use for cutting. That brought it up to the correct height. Just an idea...
