I have a small bedroom, right off our living room. I was set up in our basement until my middle son moved back in... But I like being upstairs much better anyways.
I have an old oak table, for my sewing/cutting table. The shelf thingy I have my material on I bought for $5 at an estate auction. My oldest son had gotten me the small curio cabinent which I now store thread in.
One of my favorites things though, is the old doll crib at I got at an auction. Grandkids play with it, but know they have to be careful. They have two others downstairs with their toys too.

Mostly grandkids craft supplies

And my blue & white quilt top I'm now working on, with the Fabric Inspecters.... I'm quite impressed with my top so far, as all my seams match! lol!!! :D

Mollie, Chester, and Squeakers rear end.

Why do they do that! It's so fascinating to them! "Ahem, if it's important to you it's important to me" attitude! Cute picture!

Diana--I like your bright and cheery quilting room. The doll crib is precious!!! What a great find!!

MollieSue 03-12-2009 01:51 PM

I have no idea why they do it, but every time I lay something out, they come get on it. Just to prove they can maybe? lol!!!
Mollie (the darker collie muttly), and Blu, our other cat, are always in the room with me when I sew.
:D

Thank you!! And Pam, I wish you could come! I don't know anybody close who sews or quilts! I'm working on one of my daughter-in-laws, trying to get her to catch the bug....

MollieSue 03-12-2009 03:47 PM

Nope, I'm in the lower corner, about one hour from the IN border! :D

Great room - isn't it great to to near the rest of the family?

littlehud 03-12-2009 06:06 PM

Love your sewing room. Can I come over and play.

MollieSue 03-12-2009 06:10 PM

Yes - Come!! lol!! :D I remember reading about someone (I can't remember who now!) had a friend over for the weekend and they sewed the strip quilts.... I was quite envious!
:-)

Mousie 03-19-2009 01:10 PM

love your room but I don't have room for a cute doll crib in my cave. Toy box is in living room with small rocking chair and dora table and chairs. you'd think i still had kids at home. nope, just grandbabies. :D

MollieSue 03-19-2009 01:32 PM

The grandkids toys used to be in my sewing room, when we had it as an extra bedroom/toy room. They got moved downstairs and get hauled up when they come over. lol!! The doll bed I have in there is mine. But they do play with it, just know they have to be careful with it. :-)
