bourvel 03-18-2010 04:11 AM

Can we exchange hubbies for just a while....
you must be very proud to own such a nice and practical sewing room. did your husband use a dresser and covered it with board to make the sewing table? I've seen this a lot and maybe my husband could do that for me but he's not handy to make furniture from scratch.

Tally Kathy 03-18-2010 04:16 AM

Your husband is quite talented!. Your sewing table is beautiful -
You need to decorate the walls with some of your quilts!

cherryberry 03-18-2010 05:06 AM

Great sewing room!!! My sewing room never looks so neat. I think the beauty of having my sewing room is being able to leave what I'm working on out and ready if I have only a few minutes to sew, it's there ready from where I left off. It's so good to not have to use precious time getting everything back out and ready to go! I just shut the door when I leave it. Your hubby did a wonderful job;he's a keeper!!!!

LindaR 03-18-2010 05:13 AM

wheres the mess LOL, great tables

Feathers 03-18-2010 05:14 AM

Wow! What a great work room and it's sooooooo neat and orderly. I'd love to have the cupboards you have to tidy up the looks of my sewing room...LOVE my fabric but it does get messy looking in a hurry when it's all out and everywhere! Thanks for sharing. I'm you are going to be super productive with such a nice work area in which to work.

katsewnsew 03-18-2010 05:15 AM

That is a great sewing room - I love it!!!!

oldswimmer 03-18-2010 11:37 AM

Mandy, what a great room! Love the furniture. I have already saved pictures so I can show my husband. He is a good builder too..... I have a question though about your sewing table.
I see the piece of counter top was cut to fit your machine. Is the piece IN FRONT of the sewing machine re-attached somehow? Glued down? Or is it just snug enough to
have been fit back in its place, and stay there?

My husband keeps telling me he wants to build my table from scratch, and I have been hesitant, but now I am getting excited. He is an excellent woodworker, so it should be nice.
Thanks for posting!

wraez 03-18-2010 02:28 PM
