I have 3 for the Singer purses.
Wal-mart put them on sale about 2 years ago. They were $6.88 and I got 3 differenet colors & pics for $1.50 each. Love them - I use them for sewing notions. JBJ137 in SC |

Real find on the purse - A friend of mine just bought a purse of that shape made from a license plate. Cost $150.00. I'd rather have the sewing design, especially at your price.

I have never seen such a adorable purse. Is it meant to be a purse or is it for sewing supplies? I would love to have it for either one. The fabric is a real plus for this garage sale.
We do not ever have that good of garage sales here in Houston, maybe I need to visit New York some time. I have not been out of Houston since 1965 I think it might be time for a change of scenery anyway and have always wanted to see New York. |

I love the purse also, I am kind of afraid to use it as it is in perfect shape. I think I will only display it for the time being. It hasn't left my buffet since I got it as I love looking at it and can see it from 2 rooms.
Would never part with it! It is such a treasure! If I ever go to a quilt show, I may have to use it to show off. LOL Charlee, I can't believe you got one too. Especially with your love of vintage machines also. I hear they came in different colors, is yours the same? Congratulations, I know you appreciate it as much as I do! |
Mine was the same....Yep! I parted with it! In this house, it would have been a dustcatcher, and I'm so lousy about dusting, I thought it would have a better home with Peggy! :lol:
I do love the design of it, and it did fit in with the treadles, but it's in a happier place now! ;) |
They do come in colors.
Mine came from Wal-Mart about 2 years ago when they put them on sale.. I have a red one and a turquoise one. I sold the cream colored one to a member on here. JBJ137 in SC |
