Trying to get my sister's a quilt made by their birthday. I have until the last of Nov. and Dec. I should be able to do that. Will be 3 quilts. First one is finished and I am working on a Grandmother's Fan quilt for my next one. I can't decide to sew them together all the same way or four in a big circle. I am very new at this.

I would love to know too, I have a huge roll of 4or 5 inch fabric on a spool that may work for this pattern!

Yes,it is a stack and whack. Thank you, I am learning and there are mistakes that even I can see, but I am not about to take it apart. I seem to have to learn by making mistakes!

I made a stack and whack out of florals and one that looks like fireworks material and they were much easier. I will never do another one with these kind of lines.

The fabric you chose gives the blocks such motion! I think it looks great.

For an idea of what 4 GMF look like peiced together in a circle here is a pic. These four I had intended to make pillow shams out of but ended up nixing that idea and they languished as orphan blocks in my stash for a very long time. I decided to piece them into a quilt back.

That is so pretty. I could never get the points like you have on the surrounding blocks. But I love how the GMF look. Thanks for sharing.
