Had fun making this pair, one for me and one for a friend. It made her happy!
I used prairie points for the beak, combs, and tails. |
I have made these before too out of scraps. They are too cute!

Adorable. What are they filled with?
|
they are cute. are they easy to make?
|
I love mine...a good friend made my hen pincushion and I put her tail under the leg of the machine....otherwise I have to chase a dog with it in her mouth...

These are too cute!!!

How cute.

I like to put a small packet of sand inside the bottom of my pincushions to give them some stability. The rest is poly-fil. They are easy to make. I followed the tutorial found on the internet and this forum, I think. Most of them have the combs and tails made of felt, which is also cute. They are made from two squares of fabric. My chicks are large, made of 5 inch squares.

My cousin made some using small Log Cabin blocks. Yours are so very cute.

Yes, Stacey, the ones made from Log Cabin blocks are very cute. I hope to try that idea, too. Thanks, everyone, for your kind comments. They are a fun, quick project when you just want to accomplish something. Very satisfying.
