My son's military quilt-done!
3 Attachment(s)
This is the second of three boys in the military. The third one is still in Afghanistan and I'll start his quilt next.
Here's the first one: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...w-t216378.html When the younger brothers went into the military, they decided they wanted "brother quilts", similar, but not the same. So I used the same pattern, the new official Army camo, and a different color scheme. This boy is at Fort Campbell in the 101st Airborne. This new multi-cam was only available in the nylon-cotton rip stop and my fingers are CRYING after hand stitching the binding down! The back is all camo and I used different color bobbin thread to keep the camo back all camo. It wasn't as hard as I thought to keep the tension perfect so the threads met in the batting. Yay! |
Beautiful. Please thank your sons for their service. BrendaK

God bless all your sons and keep them safe so they can come home. Love the quilts!

Awesome job mom, both on the quilts and raising some fine young men!!! Thank them for their service. My hubby and older son were Marines, and the younger son Army. Any branch of service should be thanked for their service. I cried the other night when a man came up to my dh, and said 'welcome home'. {He served in Nam in the late 60's}
