This has been sitting on my shelf and calling my name to get the black border and binding on this thing and get it on the wall somewhere. Hope I can find a place for it. Hope you like it...

That shiny material isn't easy to work with. I think that's part of the reason it isn't done.

Connie

Your work is so beautiful, you are so talented :D. I agree with Diamonds regarding the shinny fabric, it gives life to the window.

I enjoy a challenge but this one is way beyond my capabillities, maybe
one day

That is really pretty...looks hard. How big is it going to be when you're finished with it?

Roben 06-16-2008 03:30 PM

Beautiful, Connie!

That is just beautiful! I hate to say it though, that is crying out for a couple more to go with it to hang as a triplet wall hanging.

That is really lovely. I love the colors and you did a fine job.

Wow, it really does look like a stained glass window! That shiny fabric may have been a pain to work with, but it paid off--it looks just great!

Love it...and the shiny fabric MAKES it so real looking, well done Con :D

Thanks everone... The quilt should be 24"x 34" when it's done. I have to go to the fabric store today for a job I'm doing on someone's lawn chairs so I can pick up black for the border and binding on this one and get it out of my way. YEAH FABRIC STORE... love shopping there.

My window looks wrinkled. Maybe I should iron that thing. You have to be careful with heat on that shiny stuff though.

Thanks again everyone. I don't have your address yet but I do have my daughters address in Ohio. She just bought a new home and it may look good on one of her walls. She does quilt but only the fringed kind of quilts where you do one block at a time and then she stacks them up until she has enough and then sews them together. I've tried to talk her into regular quilting and she just doesn't want anything to do with it. I think she is too busy to quilt now anyway. The pretty young thing has a life!!
