My Stomach Was In A Knot

Where I live, we lose electric power quite often, and not just during storms. Sometimes on bright sunny days. Well, today is a bright sunny day, and I was concerned with this having all these curves. It took two hours and forty-five minutes. The snowflake is 8 1/2 at its widest point. So glad it's over. I love the way it came out, but boy I do not believe I will be doing another. :)
It will be part of the snowman quilt I am working on. |
It is a beautiful snowflake. Well worth the time invested. What are you doing with it?

You did a great job!

Love the rich blue batik you chose as the background. You couldn't have done better if you dyed it yourself. The swirls of dots in the fabric gives the illusion of swirling snow. That snowflake block will really draw the viewer's eye in so place it carefully (like front and center!)

you did fantastic work. so pretty too and all your hard work shows!
|
Nice stitching - and great fabrics for your snowflakes!
|
This is part of a much larger project that will be about 90 x 90 when I am done.
|
It's beautiful Boston..
|
Pretty snowflake and I think I have some of that same white on white fabric!
|
Glad you kept sewing away. It looks great.
