Beautiful! It's nice to see AOTH finished. I think the outside border is a wonderful choice to complement the blocks. Is it part of the pattern?
Thanks everyone. I'm blushing from all your kind words!
Joanne, no, its not part of the pattern. I designed the swirling vine applique border, then I added the additional narrow orange strip, then added the background stip as well. I thought it might be too plain (but I needed the extra few inches), so decided to repeat the quilting pattern from the on point center and then to try the Notched edge binding. Glad you like it.

Which method of neddle turn did you use? your skill at turning and your color choices are wonderful and the quilting really sets it off. Thanks for showing us the finished beauty.
I was bound and determined that I would learn to do needle turn with just a needle, so thats how I did this quilt. I'm much better at it now than I was when I started, but still can improve....a LOT!
Lots of you ask how many hours. I really have NO idea. I worked on this quilt every evening while watching tv for probably 3 hours or so...for 14 months. Add in the time to quilt (yes, I did quilt it myself on my DSM- which is domestic sewing machine..no long arm). The quilting took probably 90-100 hours. I had to do all the center peach blocks twice since they are trapunto. So...you tell me....I'm afraid to add it up! LOL!
Thanks for all the lovely comments.
