my tree napkins
1 Attachment(s)
Made these from leftover quilt projects, no trunk and I like them without. They will be posted out soon with the instructions to make more if desired.

A hint that helped me do the pressing in a quick manner.
I have one of those covers that has lines etc too line things up. I pressed the half-moon, then used the grid lines to measure off the first 5" fold. Then folded and pressed each one and it went very quick not having to actually mark the first fold line. |
shabbyfabrics.com has a download of the template for free. to fold it by.

I used the shabby fabrics template but did not stitch on the first fold line, just pressed it well.
Am sending these trees, with printed template to a sewing relative, so she can make more if she wants for her friends. |
Very pretty. I think I will go now and dl the template.

Your tree napkins are so pretty. I have the fabrics to make some for my neighbors for a little gift and hopefully will be able to get them done this week since I am snowed in. :(. They really look like a lot of fun to make and now I am undecided if I want to put the trunk on them or not. ???
|
I didn't like the trunk myself. but it is still cute, either way.
|
So pretty! I have made those in the past too.
|
Hmmm...now that I see them without the trunk, they are nice that way too.
Very pretty. Watson |

I loved your Christmas tree napkins so much I went into my sewing room and made a couple for my cousin. Hope she likes them as she is a fantastic sewer and hopefully she will be impressed that I can do this!! :). I had a heck of a time getting the folding done-not understanding it at all. That was the last thing to do and it took some ripping out as I put the trunk on the wrong side then everything worked out.
|
Those look great. I received a set these from a secret pal a few years ago and they are so cool. I like them without the trunk too.
